David Bacquart has been working with doctor Delcroix for a decade. In 1999, he started out as a teacher at ISCAM, in the Podology section, which has since become HELB Ilya Prigogine.
His love of his trade naturally took him to research on how to develop podology.
Taking inspiration from Canadian techniques, he developed wax plates, forms and formulas to take true imprints of the foot. These wax plates can be melted down and remodelled after use, which makes them economical and ecological.
He also specialised in orthonyxia, the art of adjusting the curvature of the nails, a technique that can prevent ingrown toenails and corns on the edges of the nails. He has lodged 2 patents, the Hallix© system, comprised of resin blocks, and the Bacquart© strap using the 'memory' of titanium.
Mr Bacquart is constantly seeking new techniques for making functional soles. They are always custom-made using high-tech materials, for a lightweight, technically effective performance. They treat aches and pains in the feet, ankles, knees, hips, back… Tendonitis, bursitis, hallux valgus ... will leave you in peace once your feet return to a correct position.
